Job description


We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in trauma treatments such as TF-CBT, EMDR, OR IFS and be committed to providing exceptional support to individuals facing various challenges. This role involves working in a outpatient and virtual therapy setting, where you will engage with clients through individual and group counseling sessions, and behavior management strategies.

Duties

  • Conduct individual and group counseling sessions with adults ages 18+ to address clients' mental health needs.

  • Provide direct support to clients, assisting them in navigating their challenges and developing coping strategies.

  • Perform crisis intervention when necessary, ensuring the safety and well-being of clients.

  • Maintain accurate medical documentation and records of client progress and treatment plans.

  • Engage in data collection and research to inform treatment approaches and improve service delivery.

  • Implement behavior management techniques tailored to individual client needs.

  • Offer counseling services as required, supporting clients in their recovery journey.

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care and enhance client outcomes.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field is required.

  • Valid independent state licensure as a therapist or counselor is preferred.

  • Experience in clinical counseling within a hospital or similar environment is highly desirable.

  • Strong skills in crisis intervention and behavior management are essential.

  • Proficiency in medical documentation practices is necessary for maintaining client records.

  • Familiarity with data collection methods for research purposes is a plus.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are required for effective client interaction.

  • A compassionate approach with the ability to build rapport with diverse populations is crucial.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 minimum per week
